This article will only resonate with a certain group of people – that is smokers! I’ve just found out how much cigarettes cost now and thought I would include a calculator for the smokers amongst us that perhaps need to be motivated to think about their habit.

Using the calculator below I added one packet of cigarettes per day at $20 per packet and it added up to $600 per month.

That’s 600 x 12 = $7,200 per year or $216,000 for 30 years. That’s a sizeable amount of money in anyones terms for a lifetime of smoking.

That’s many fantastic holidays or nights out to dinner with friends. Anyway enough said. Thought I would just mention it as the price alarmed me recently when I had someone in front of me buying cigarettes at the petrol station recently.
